Personal Digital Banking Upgrade

Coming October 19

Getting Ready Is Easy

We’ve designed the Personal Digital Banking upgrade to make the transition as simple as possible. Your username and password will stay the same, and you’ll continue to access Online Banking at fmub.bank. If you use Mobile Banking, you’ll update your FMUB app beginning October 19. There are just a few things you’ll want to do ahead of time to make sure you’re ready.

5 Things to Know Before the Digital Banking Upgrade

Complete before October 16 to avoid any disruptions!

1. Know your username and password

Your username and password will remain the same after the upgrade, but you’ll need to enter them manually the first time you log in. Your username will not prefill, and Face ID and fingerprint login will not be available for your first login. Don’t worry—these convenient login features are still available. Once you’re logged in, you can set them up again in the updated app.

Even if you regularly use Online or Mobile Banking, take a moment before October 16 to make sure you know both your username and password.

Forgot your username? Stop in or call (920) 623-4000 and we’ll be happy to help.
Don’t remember your password? Use the “Forgot Password” link.

2. Current contact info required for first-time login

During your first login after the upgrade, you’ll be asked to verify your identity with a one-time passcode. You can choose to receive the passcode by text, phone call, or email using the contact information we have on file.

If you no longer have access to the phone number or email address we have on file, you may have difficulty completing your first login.

Take a moment before October 16 to review your contact information and make sure it’s up to date. You can review and update your phone number and email address under Profile in Online Banking, or stop in or call (920) 623-4000 and we’ll happily assist you.

3. Review push alerts and card controls

Many of your current settings will carry over to the upgraded system, but some will need to be reestablished. Before October 16, take a few minutes to review the settings below so you know what you may want to set up again after the upgrade.

Consider keeping a record of your current settings by making notes or taking screenshots where available. This can make it easier to set them up the way you want once the upgraded system is available.

Here’s what to review before October 16:

  • Push alerts — Alerts you currently receive as push notifications on your mobile device will not carry over. If you would like to continue receiving them, you’ll need to set them up again after the upgrade. Alerts delivered by text message, email, or to your secure inbox within Online and Mobile Banking will carry over automatically.
  • Card controls and card alerts — Make note of any controls or notifications you use for your debit card. You’ll need to set these up again in the updated app.

4. Expect weekend digital banking limitations

Beginning at 5 pm CT Friday, October 16, Online and Mobile Banking will be available in inquiry-only mode. You’ll still be able to log in and view your account information, but you won’t be able to complete transactions or make changes within Online or Mobile Banking. This includes changing or resetting your password.

That’s why it’s important to make sure you know your username and password and take care of any necessary changes before 5 pm CT on October 16.

Full access to Online Banking will return at 8 am CT Monday, October 19, at fmub.bank.

5. Start using the updated app on October 19

The updated FMUB app will be available beginning at 9 am CT on Monday, October 19. There’s nothing you need to download ahead of time.

Beginning at 9 am CT, you can update the app in one of two ways:

  • Open your current FMUB Mobile app. Follow the prompt to update the app and begin using the new version.
  • Go directly to your device’s app store. Search for FMUB and download the app from there.

Once the update is complete, open the app and complete the first-time login process.

Also use Business Banking? Beginning October 19, you’ll access both your Personal and Business accounts through the FMUB app. Visit our Business Digital Banking Upgrade page for important information specific to Business Banking.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will my username and password stay the same?

Yes. You’ll continue to use the same username and password you use today. The first time you log in after the upgrade, you’ll need to enter both manually. Your username will not prefill, and Face ID and fingerprint login will not be available for your first login.

Once you’ve completed your first login, you can set up these convenient login features again in the updated app.

What should I do if I don’t remember my username or password?

We’re here to help! Stop in or call us at (920) 623-4000 for help with your username or password.

If you know your username but don’t remember your password, you can also use the Forgot Password link to reset it yourself.

Will I still access Online Banking at fmub.bank?

Yes. You’ll continue to access Online Banking at fmub.bank, just as you do today. Upgraded Online Banking will be available beginning at 8 am CT on Monday, October 19.

Will my FMUB Mobile app update automatically?

If your device is set to update apps automatically, the next time you open your FMUB Mobile app after the upgrade, you’ll be prompted to update to the FMUB app. This is a legitimate FMUB app update, and it is safe to follow the prompt. You’ll need to acknowledge the prompt to complete the update.

You can also go directly to your device’s app store, search for FMUB, and download the updated app from there.

Do I have to use Digital Banking after the upgrade?

No. Digital Banking is optional. If you do not currently use Online or Mobile Banking, you do not need to sign up because of the upgrade. You can continue banking the way you do today, including writing checks, visiting an FMUB location, and using your debit card.

The October 19 upgrade only affects customers who use, or choose to use, FMUB's Online and Mobile Banking services.

Why is it important to have my current phone number and email address on file?

During your first login after the upgrade, you’ll be asked to verify your identity with a one-time passcode. You can choose to receive the passcode by text, phone call, or email using the contact information we have on file.

If you no longer have access to the phone number or email address we have on file, you may have difficulty completing your first login. You can review and update your contact information under Profile in Online Banking, or stop in or call (920) 623-4000 and we’ll happily assist you.

How do I identify my push alerts?

The easiest way to identify your current push alerts is through Online Banking, where you can see how each alert is being delivered.

  1. Log in to Online Banking and select Alerts at the top of the screen.
  2. Select Alert Options. You will see a list of alert categories, such as Security, Balance, Transaction, Transfer, and ATM/Debit Card.
  3. Select each category to see the alerts available within it. A number next to an alert indicates how many alerts of that type you currently have set up. For example, a “2” means you have two alerts of that type configured.
  4. Select any alert with a number next to it to see how it is currently delivered.

To determine which alerts are push alerts, look at the delivery methods listed for each alert you have set up. Push alerts are identified by the mobile device associated with the notification. For example, a push alert sent to an iPhone may display as iPhone app notification.

You may also see other delivery methods listed, such as an email address, phone number, or secure inbox. Only alerts delivered as push notifications will need to be reestablished after the upgrade. Alerts delivered by text message, email, or to your secure inbox within Online and Mobile Banking will carry over automatically.

Before October 16, review your current push alerts and make note of any you would like to reestablish after the upgrade.

What about Mobile Banking?

You can view and manage alerts in the FMUB Mobile app by selecting More (☰), then Alerts under Settings. However, the app does not always clearly identify how an existing alert is being delivered. For that reason, we recommend using Online Banking to identify the alerts you currently receive as push notifications.

How do I review my current card controls and alerts?

Open the FMUB Mobile app and select Cards. Under Manage Card, select Controls & Alerts.

From there, you can toggle between Controls and Alerts to review the settings you currently have in place.

Make note of the controls and alerts you wish to reestablish after the upgrade.

Will my scheduled transfers carry over?

Yes. All scheduled transfers will carry over to the upgraded system. You won’t need to reestablish them after the upgrade.

Will my Bill Pay information carry over?

Yes. Your Bill Pay information, including your payees, scheduled and recurring payments, and payment history, will carry over to the upgraded system. You won’t need to set these up again.

I have both Personal and Business accounts. What do I need to know?

Beginning October 19, you’ll access both your Personal and Business accounts through the upgraded FMUB app. You will no longer use the FMUB Mobile Business Banking app.

If you also have Business accounts, it’s important that you review our Business Digital Banking Upgrade page. How you access your Personal and Business accounts after the upgrade will depend on how your accounts and Digital Banking access are currently set up. The Business Digital Banking Upgrade page provides information and instructions specific to Business Banking.
