Welcome American Bank of Beaver Dam Customers!
Find updates, FAQs, and login access here.
As of February 13, 2026, you are now part of the Farmers & Merchants Union Bank family.
We encourage you to visit this page for up-to-date information, as well as a full archive of past communications.
In the coming months, all American Bank accounts will become Farmers & Merchants Union Bank accounts. We want to make this changeover as simple as possible for you.
For now, you will continue business as usual. Farmers & Merchants Union Bank will be working behind the scenes to prepare for integrating systems and operations. Today and in the future, you can expect the same outstanding service and support from the same team members you know and trust.
Please watch this site for additional details about upcoming changes.
Your account numbers will remain the same. In the unlikely event a change is needed, you will be notified well in advance, and we will handle the details.
You can continue to visit and call the same trusted staff you work with today for your banking needs. Phone numbers for the Beaver Dam and Necedah offices are not changing. You may contact your Relationship Banker directly or call FMUB at (920) 623-4000 for assistance.
No. All location hours remain the same. Visit our Hours & Locations page for the latest information.
Today, you may use the Beaver Dam and Necedah offices, plus our Main Office in downtown Columbus (159 W James St), the Columbus Branch (104 Industrial Dr), and the Juneau Branch (198 S Western Ave). After the July 13, 2026 conversion, you will have access to all 13 FMUB locations.
Farmers & Merchants Union Bank’s routing number is 075902670. However, please do not update any automatic payments or direct deposits until after the July 13, 2026 conversion is complete to help avoid processing delays.
Yes. Your current checks will remain valid until you reorder. Orders placed at an FMUB location after July 13, 2026 will automatically include the updated routing number. If you order through another provider, please use FMUB’s routing number (075902670) for any checks ordered after July 13, 2026.
No action is required for existing direct deposits. After the July 13, 2026 conversion, your current direct deposits — including payroll, Social Security, and other ACH deposits — will continue to post to your account automatically.
You only need to provide the FMUB routing number when establishing new direct deposits or electronic transfers after July 13, 2026.
No. Your existing automatic payments will continue without interruption, both now and after the July conversion.
When setting up new automatic payments after July 13, 2026, please use the FMUB routing number: 075902670.
You may continue using your American Bank debit card until the July data conversion. Once the conversion is complete, you will begin using your new FMUB debit card.
Your new debit card and detailed instructions — including exact timing for when to stop using your current card and when to begin using your new one — will be mailed to you.
Please make sure your mailing address on file is current so you receive your new card and instructions without delay.
Your PIN does not have to change. When you receive your new Farmers & Merchants Union Bank debit card, activation instructions will be included. During activation, you may choose a PIN — including the same PIN you use today, if you prefer.
For your security, select a PIN that is easy for you to remember but difficult for others to guess.
Nothing will change before maturity — your current rates and terms will stay the same. When your CDs or IRA CDs mature, you can choose from the renewal options available at that time.
Your loan numbers will remain the same. In the unlikely event a change is required, you will be notified well in advance.
If paying by check, please make checks payable to Farmers & Merchants Union Bank (FMUB) going forward. If your payments are set up through ACH or an automatic account transfer, they will continue to process normally — no action is needed.
Payments received during regular business hours, Monday through Friday, are credited the same day. Payments received after business hours or on weekends and holidays will be credited the next business day.
Current users of the American Bank BD Mobile or BD Biz Mobile apps may continue normal use through July 10, 2026, when the data conversion process begins.
As we approach the conversion date, additional information will be shared about how Mobile Banking will be affected and what to expect.
Beginning July 13, 2026, you may use the FMUB Mobile and FMUB Mobile Business Banking apps. Please download the apps from the App Store or Google Play and sign in using your existing credentials.
You must be enrolled in Online Banking to use the mobile banking apps.
If you are currently enrolled in Online Banking, continue using your existing username and password until further notice.
During the period leading up to the data conversion, please access Online Banking at this temporary web address: fmub.bank/ab.
As the conversion date approaches, we will share additional details about what to expect, including whether any credential updates will be required.
Beginning July 13, 2026, you will access FMUB Online Banking at fmub.bank.
If you need assistance enrolling in Online Banking, please call (920) 623-7112.
Yes. You will be able to view your transaction history in Online Banking — now and after the data conversion is complete on July 13, 2026.
A paper statement will be mailed to you covering all account activity from the ending date of your most recent statement before conversion through the conversion date. This statement will be mailed to you even if you currently receive eStatements, so please be sure we have your correct mailing address on file.
This statement, along with prior American Bank statements, will be available in FMUB Online Banking within 30 days after the data conversion is complete.
Because prior statements will not appear in the new system right away, please download and save — before July 10, 2026 — any statements or account information you may need during the transition period.
Your current connections to Quicken, QuickBooks, and other third-party applications will continue to work as they do today until the data conversion on July 13, 2026. After that date, you may need to reconnect these applications to your Farmers & Merchants Union Bank accounts.
Your current bill payment vendors will continue to work normally until the July 13, 2026 data conversion.
As we approach the conversion date, additional information will be shared about how Bill Pay service will be affected and what to expect.
Yes. Your deposit accounts will continue to be insured by the FDIC. The standard FDIC insurance coverage is $250,000 per depositor, per insured bank, per ownership category.
When two insured banks merge, deposits from the acquired bank are separately insured from deposits at the assuming bank for at least six months after the acquisition. This grace period gives you time to review and, if needed, restructure your accounts to maintain full coverage.
Reach out to the same trusted staff you work with today — their phone numbers are not changing. You can also call FMUB at (920) 623-4000 if you need help.
